Just for kicks

“Just for kicks” I brought out the heels for my first newsletter! Red of course! Now you know painting this pair of shoes just made me smile.

First of all let me introduce my red high heels “Stepping Out” (9x12).Other shoes may appear later as painting them gets the toes tapping!

Painting lavender fields is one of my favorite subjects. It doesn't get much better than standing in a field painting “Plein Air” while the sweet lavender perfume wafts about my easel… well maybe the wafting was actually me swatting at bees. This painting is from my Lavender Provence series (20x24).

My next painting is from a trip last spring to the Netherlands. I was thrilled with the color and the rhythm of the fields of flowers. It was simply breathtaking. This is “Dutch White Daffodils” (24x36).

Upcoming events:
I will be out and about Plein Air painting this summer and preparing for two fall shows, dates to follow in my next newsletter. Please feel free to contact me or visit my home/studio. Other works can be viewed at the Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery. If you are visiting the Oregon wine country stop and taste while glancing at some of my paintings in The Horse Radish and also Canas Feast Winery which are both in Carlton, Oregon. I would like to invite you to join my quarterly (or less) newsletter. I will try to keep you posted with photos of my new paintings and a preview of events. Please send me an email at riverhaze@gmail.com and I will add you to the list. Thank you, Haze
